UI/UX & Product Design, shaped around your organisation
Product teams that need evidence before committing to a build need more than a list of technical deliverables. They need a team that understands the practical consequences of each decision. Our ui/ux & product design engagements begin with the people, workflows and constraints involved. We look at what already works, what creates friction and where a focused improvement can make a measurable difference. We collaborate remotely with organisations across Australia and New Zealand to turn that understanding into a delivery plan. The aim is simple: a validated, accessible experience with a practical system for future growth. We document the assumptions behind the plan so you can assess the investment before committing to the full build.
WHAT WE OFFER
The right expertise, thoughtfully applied.
User interviews
Speak with the people doing the work, using concrete examples rather than leading questions about a proposed solution. We look for differences between the documented process and ordinary practice, then turn findings into product decisions the delivery team can use. At the start, we agree the first useful release and the evidence needed to accept it. You can see the assumptions, dependencies and responsibilities before the work expands. That shared definition gives both teams a practical basis for reviewing progress.
Journey mapping
Show how a person moves between channels, people and systems to complete a task. The map includes waiting, repetition and exception handling. It gives the project a shared view of the whole experience rather than optimising one screen in isolation. We use representative information and realistic examples during review. The ordinary journey is checked alongside errors, permission changes and interruptions. Findings go into the shared backlog with a clear owner, so feedback becomes a delivery decision rather than a disconnected note.
Wireframes
Establish the information hierarchy and sequence before investing in polished screens. Wireframes make omissions and competing priorities easier to discuss. We use realistic content and include empty, error and completed states so the intended experience is concrete. Your team helps confirm the business rules and exception paths. We document the important decisions close to the work and demonstrate the resulting behaviour. This gives the people who will operate the service an opportunity to question it before release.
Interactive prototypes
Test a coherent journey with an interactive model at the appropriate level of detail. Observing where someone hesitates is often more useful than asking whether they like the design. Findings feed a prioritised revision list rather than an unstructured collection of preferences. The release plan includes proportionate verification and a clear response when something fails. We make remaining limitations visible and agree who owns the next action. Handover covers the configuration, access and everyday tasks your organisation will need to maintain.
Design systems
Create reusable foundations, components and guidance around actual product needs. States, accessibility behaviour and content rules are documented alongside the visuals. The system should make the next feature easier to design and implement, without becoming a separate product no one maintains. Where an external platform is involved, we check access, supported interfaces and any commercial dependency early. The proposal identifies what your organisation must provide and what our team will deliver. Changes are discussed before they become a commitment of time or budget.
Accessibility reviews
Review keyboard access, focus, contrast, structure and the handling of errors as part of the design. Automated checks support human evaluation, including assistive-technology testing where agreed. Findings have an owner, a priority and a clear verification step. We agree what happens after the first delivery, including documentation, training and operational ownership. Ongoing care can be scoped separately. You should be able to understand the result, locate its assets and choose how the next stage of improvement is handled.
WHO IT’S FOR
Product teams that need evidence before committing to a build.
We make the complexity manageable, with clear decisions and an accountable team.
A validated, accessible experience with a practical system for future growth
Clear ownership and fewer surprises
Accessible experiences and maintainable foundations
Visible progress and a practical handover
HOW WE WORK
A clear, collaborative path.
Every ui/ux & product design project has a named delivery contact, a visible backlog and regular opportunities to review working progress. We typically plan in two-week cycles, with the exact rhythm agreed around your team. Discovery establishes scope and risks; design makes the experience concrete; build and testing turn decisions into reliable behaviour. Launch preparation covers access, release responsibilities, rollback and support. After launch, we review the evidence against the goals set at the beginning. You can see what changed, why it changed and which decisions remain open.
01
Discover
We listen, challenge assumptions and agree on the problem worth solving.
02
Design
Research, prototypes and clear design decisions bring the experience into focus.
03
Build
Small, visible increments turn a shared vision into dependable software.
04
Test
We check the details, test real journeys and address the awkward edge cases.
05
Launch
A rehearsed release, clear ownership and a team ready to support you.
06
Grow
We measure what matters, learn from people and improve with purpose.
THE TOOLS FOR THE JOB
Built for today. Ready for tomorrow.
Our toolkit for this work includes Figma, FigJam, Storybook, Maze, HTML, CSS. We recommend a combination after reviewing your existing systems, team skills, security requirements and operating budget. A familiar, well-supported platform often creates more value than an unnecessarily novel stack. We explain licensing and third-party costs and identify areas that may create vendor dependence. Source repositories, design assets and documentation are covered in your agreement. Our aim is to leave you with a product your organisation can understand, operate and improve as its needs change.
Timelines depend on the scope, integration readiness and availability of decision-makers. A focused first release may be planned across eight to twelve weeks; larger programmes are phased into useful increments. We provide a proposal in AUD with assumptions, milestones, exclusions and ongoing operating considerations. Your investment is scoped after discovery, with third-party charges and any ongoing support capacity identified separately. If a budget or deadline is fixed, we help prioritise the most useful outcome within it and make tradeoffs explicit before work starts.
GOOD QUESTIONS
A little more about ui/ux & product design.
We agree the scope during discovery. Common work includes user interviews, journey mapping, wireframes, interactive prototypes, with design, testing and handover responsibilities made explicit in the proposal.
We work with Figma, FigJam, Storybook, Maze, HTML, CSS and choose the combination that fits your existing systems, maintainers and operating constraints.
Yes. We first review access, documentation, dependencies and data quality. A small technical investigation may be needed before we commit to an integration timeline.
You receive regular demonstrations, a shared delivery backlog and a named contact. We identify decisions that need your input early and record the effect of scope changes.
Your agreement covers source access, design assets, documentation and training. We walk through deployment, configuration and the operational tasks your team will own.
Yes. We can agree maintenance, monitoring and improvement capacity separately. Support hours, response targets and any after-hours coverage are documented rather than assumed.
